Three Services, One Standard of Work
Each service is built around what the watch needs, not what is fastest to perform. Below is an account of how each one works in practice.

How We Approach Every Piece
Every watch that comes to our bench goes through the same initial sequence regardless of which service is being carried out: the case and movement are identified, the current condition is assessed and photographed, and a scope is confirmed before any tools are picked up. This is not a formality — it is how we avoid performing work that does not serve the watch.
Where a piece turns out to need more than the requested scope — a main spring that is borderline, a wheel with a worn pivot — we note it, tell you, and let you decide whether to extend the work. We do not proceed on assumptions.

Service 01
Quartz Care and Seal Renewal
A bench session for battery-powered wristwatches. The watchmaker opens the case, fits a fresh cell of the correct type, renews the caseback and crown gaskets, cleans the case and crystal, and re-tests water resistance to the case maker's stated rating. Suitable for everyday wear pieces and daily-driver watches; no prior servicing history is needed.
Scope covers one watch, roughly 3–5 working days on the bench, and includes a written condition note listing what was found and what was left untouched. Twelve-month workmanship coverage applies to the parts we fitted.

Service 02
Mechanical Movement Servicing
A full bench service for hand-wound and self-winding calibres. The movement is disassembled to component level, cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, inspected under magnification, re-lubricated with the correct grade of oil at each point, reassembled and regulated in six positions on a timing machine.
Intended for owners whose watch is running fast, slow, or has simply gone five or more years without attention. Scope: one movement, typically 4–6 weeks depending on parts availability.
A photographic record of the movement before and after is included, along with a timing report showing amplitude and beat error readings across all six positions.

Service 03
Vintage Case and Dial Restoration
A considered, long-form project for older pieces where the case, bracelet or dial has worn beyond ordinary servicing. Work may include hand refinishing of brushed and polished surfaces, bracelet stretch correction, crystal replacement in acrylic or sapphire, luminous compound refresh in a period-appropriate tone, and re-tensioning of clasps.
The watchmaker begins with a written proposal and photographs, and nothing is refinished until the owner has read it and agreed in writing — original patina is left in place wherever the owner prefers it.
Scope: one timepiece, 8–14 weeks. Includes proposal document, restoration, final photography, and a printed record of every component that was renewed.

Across All Services
Workshop Standards That Apply to Every Job
Secure Storage
Watches are stored in a locked cabinet when not on the bench. No piece is left unattended in an open workshop area.
Current Lubricant Stock
Oils and greases are replaced on a scheduled basis. Expired lubricants are disposed of, not used on a "close enough" basis.
Full Documentation
Every service produces at minimum a written condition note. Mechanical and restoration work produces additional reports and photographs.
Direct Communication
Enquiries are read and replied to by the workshop, not a call-handling service. You speak with the person doing the work.
Workmanship Coverage
Twelve months of workmanship coverage on parts fitted during quartz servicing. Restoration work carries coverage per the written proposal terms.
Data Handling
Contact details and watch records are retained for service history purposes only. We do not share owner information with third parties.
